Because of the many challenges with reimbursement for mental health from insurance plans, we accept a limited number of insurance plans.

Clients with out of network insurance are welcome in our clinic. However, clients pay up front for costs and receive receipts/documentation to submit on their own to insurance if seeking reimbursement.

What insurance do you take?

We do NOT accept any Medicare plans and most Medicaid plans.

Our Cypress, TX location only accepts Self-Pay, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Aetna at this time.

In Network Insurers (Employer Plans Only)

Most Blue Cross Blue Shield plans, HealthPartners, CIGNA, and Aetna.

Please note, accepted insurances change over time depending on whether the contracted rates of reimbursement cover the cost of services.

Out of Network Insurance

If you wish to use your insurance plan that is not in network with us (e.g., Medica/United Healthcare, etc.), you will be responsible for paying your bill. We will issue you a “superbill” which you can send to your insurer to request reimbursement.

Self-Pay

Many clients choose to self-pay for their services. We are able to process payments using HSA cards and do provide a significant discount to those who choose to self-pay.

IMPORTANT: 

  • Please verify your mental health coverage with your insurance company including deductibles (what you pay before insurance pays each year) and copays (due at each visit).
  • We submit insurance claims for in-network.
  • We issue super-bills (documentation for you to send to your out of network insurance) for your own reimbursement.
  • Some Medical Flex Spending and Health Savings Vehicle Accounts may allow for reimbursement for services.
  • We are a clinic and are unable to answer specific questions about your insurance coverage or plan.
  • We provide good faith estimates to clients after the initial consultation and updated as needed across the course of treatment.
  • Our providers are paid directly from the costs you pay per session. As such, we are unable to provide financing or payment plans.

*INSURANCE TYPICALLY PAYS ONLY IF CLIENT IS PRESENT AT SESSIONS AND INSURANCE TYPICALLY WILL ONLY PAY FOR ONE SERVICE ABOVE PER CLIENT PER DAY.

*YOUR PROVIDER WILL WORK WITH YOU TO CHOOSE THE BEST DURATION AND FREQUENCY OF YOUR THERAPY APPOINTMENTS.

IMPORTANT PAYMENT INFORMATION:

Payment is due at the time of service. If insurance is used, your card on file will be charged after insurance has processed – this includes your deductible or copay due. Check with your insurance if you are unsure of what this is or review your explanation of benefits from the visit. We are not privy to the details of your insurance plan.

There is a $50 fee for non-sufficient funds transactions. Additional fees may be charged if collections are required to recoup a debt.

LATE CANCELLATION AND NO-SHOW FEES:

Treat your appointment like a ticket to an event. If you do not show, the full cost of your appointment will automatically be charged (you still paid for the time). The same is true for appointments that are missed or cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice. If you attend your appointment late and the full amount cannot be charged, you may be responsible to cover the portion not covered by your insurance or a $50 fee. Insurance will not cover costs of cancellation or late charges. Please note, different rules apply to Medicaid patients – instead of a fee, you will be referred elsewhere if you have 2 late cancels or no shows within the same 52-week time frame.
